Inside The Budget Office of the Federation
The Budget Office of the Federation was established to provide budget function, implement budget and fiscal policies of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The Budget Office is structured into six departments - six operational departments and seven units. The departments are Revenue/Fiscal Policy, Expenditure Social, Expenditure Economics, Budget Monitoring and Evaluation, Human Resources Management, Finance and Accounts. The Units are ICT, ACTU, Procurement, Legal, Stock Verification, Internal Audit and Servicom.

To provide efficient and qualitative budget functions to Nigeria, geared towards promoting fiscal sustainability, transparency and accountability in public finance management for national development in line with International best practices.

The Honourable Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, called on the National Assembly for robust collaboration
The Honourable Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has called on the National Assembly for robust collaboration with the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning to ensure that the plans and visions of the Country are achieved.
The Minister made the call when the Leadership of the House of Representatives Committee on Aids, Loans and Debt Management paid him a courtesy visit in his office. Senator Bagudu said that the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning is in charge of developing short, medium and long term plans for the nation and ” if we agree on a vision or plan as a nation, we should interrogate the plan to change what is wrong and where we are doing well, we continue to achieve the desired objective”.
